- In March 2009 I decided to take a leap of fate and buy Designer Knitting Yarns. So I handed in my notice from my job as a TA and jumped in with both feet. My love is natural fibres, dyeing and felting. I’m addicted to bags and shoes (but knitted shoes are not always practical) . So….. I want to offer a wide range of yarns from budget to luxury. I want to build a knitting community. I want to make lots of bags and develop new designs. I want my customers to make lots of bags and develop their own ideas. I want people to enjoy visiting me and my yarns. I want to create interesting and exciting items and keep challenging my skills. I want an evening with Eddie Izzard But I guess that’s nothing to do with DK yarns. Don’t want much do I? I have so many ideas buzzing around in my head I really want to make Designer Knitting Yarns a thriving business that is fun and inspires creativity.
